Preschool
If you are looking for socialization and academics, small beginnings is the preschool for you. We make learning fun and a life-long interest! Our children begin a phonics program that leads to early readers; our complete curriculum includes math, science, cultural studies, and practical life. If you want your child to be self – disciplined and capable of making good choices, you want the best school…small beginnings.
Language: The phonics instruction continues from the Toddler Unit as the children begin the process of sound identification for each of the letters. As fine motor skills develop, the children learn to write the upper and lower case letters, as well.
Math:
During the Preschool year, the children will focus on numbers one through 50. Each week, we highlight three numbers to recognize and write. Counting, sight recognition, and sequencing are all part of learning process for these numbers.
Science:
Animals are the topic for the Preschool year. We study different habitats such as Forest, Desert, Rainforest, and Ocean Life. We learn about hibernation, camouflage, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, the ways that animals move, and animals that are hatched.
Spanish:
Words are introduced each week that start with the sound of the week. We also introduce simple greetings.
Music
A new song each week!
Once your child is three years old, you have two enrollment options: a three hour morning session or an all day program where you can come and go anytime between 7:00am and 6:00pm. You can enroll your child to attend Tuesdays / Thursdays, Mondays / Wednesdays / Fridays, or Monday through Friday for either enrollment option.
